Flying to Liverpool Airport


Cheap airlines – Ryan air and Easy Jet fly to Liverpool airport. Liverpool is close to Manchester. Travelling from Liverpool airport to Manchester is easy . 

Terravision operate buses every hour from Liverpool airport to the city centre of Manchester. Single ticket is £6.00 – return ticket £8.00

 

Flying to other airports in the UK

 

Manchester can be reached from most major airports by train or bus. Direct buses to Manchester operate from all major airports.

 

 

Airport taxi transfer service

 

The school can arrange for an Airport Pick Up for £30.00 one way - £60 Return.

 

Train

 

The easiest way to the city centre of Manchester from Manchester International Airport is by train. Trains run every 15 minutes and the journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes. 

A single one way ticket costs about £5.00


 

Bus

 

Buses run every 10-15 minutes and it takes approximately 60 minutes to the city centre of Manchester from Manchester International Airport.

The bus ticket to the city centre bus station costs around £4. Terravision operate buses every hour from Liverpool airport. Single ticket is £6.00– Return Ticket £8.00


Travelling in Manchester

 

Manchester has cheap and accessible public transport. Most students prefer to use the buses. A one week unlimited 24 hours bus ticket is £11.00 a week. 

The Metro tram is also available as well as local trains.

 

Tourist Information Centre

 

Tourist Information Centre can be found in Piccadily Square close to the city centre.

 

Travelling around Britain

 

Manchester is ideally located for travelling around Britain . The city centre has 3 mainline railway stations with fast and frequent connections to many interesting destinations.

 

The North West has some of the most beautiful countryside in the country. The Lake District, The Peak District and The Pennines National Parks are all a spectacular day out. London is only two and half hours away by train. North Wales, York, Buxton, Chester, Blackpool are all within easy reach and highly recommended for a day out.
